Genius Of Photography, part deux!

Photography has been around for years, but only around the 20th Century did it become popular, and we started to hear about some of the first well known photographers of that time.  Watching this documentary brought me up to date with some photographers who had started to show the world their talents, as well as getting them involved and showing them that there was more to the world through a lense than just your eyes.  I learnt of photographers such as;
 *August Sander
 *Alexander Rodchenko
 *Eugène Atget
 *Walker Evans
 *Bill Brandt
 *László Moholy-Nagy
Just to name a few!  Some of the work i saw in the documentary, the first images they had and some of the different techniques, made me wonder about how it was all possible with the limited knowledge of everything.

This image is one of the first by August Sander.  It is dark and has emotion behind it, shown through the brick workers facial expressions.  The lighting is obviously natural, because of the resources back then, yet still has a silvery look to it.  It tells a story, which is what people look for in a photograph.  An image which has feeling, meaning and is truly a one of a kind considering how long it's been around.

Apple Macintosh...

In 1998, Apple introduced an all-in-one Macintosh called the iMac. Its translucent plastic case, originally Bondi blue and later many other colors, is considered an industrial design landmark of the late 1990s.  The iMac G3 was the first model of the iMac line of personal computers made by Apple Inc, originally released in bondi blue and later a range of other brightly colored, translucent plastic casings, Apple created 5 different coloured Macs.  The context was sort of a.. 'collect them all' kind of thing.  They were the new era of computing and changed everything with their design and purpose.  These were the first in a long line of Apple designs, making them today one of the biggest companies around.

Some of this information was taken from; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMac_G3

H2O.. Just Add Water?

Yeah. It's the title of a tv show, i'm too cool. anyways! WATERRRRR! It's hard to do water in my opinion, even though it seems to have been visiting us quite a lot weather wise, but here are some of my 'Water' images!.. they suck.

Stuck In Candyland!..

So! I haven't updated in a while, but i thought i'd put a few different things on.  For starters, as you can tell by the title this is a good one! ;) I went to see Katy Perry with a couple of friends and the whole theme was CANDY! She's totally awesome this woman! Anyways!.. The concert was ah-mazing. to put it lightly, i could go on, but i won't... so i couldn't get in with a mahusive digital camera, so i just had my trusty FinePix Z30 and my Blackberry! Personally though i'm ecstatic with some of the shots! :D

Beauty Is Skin Deep;

For my portrait project, i started looking at photographers like Rankin, Kenneth Willardt etc.  The kind of photographers that do bright colourful shoots!  And that's where i got my inspiration from, not exactly the same.. definitley not, HA! but still, i am happy with these! My model was a friend called Toni, she has flawless skin already! Might not need photoshop! hahaha!..

Shake It Like a Polaroid! ♪

This was my second shoot, with 2 different models? ha. It went a hell of a lot better than my first shoot, and i'm ecstatic with my photos!  I am rather proud :') the lighting was the same.. well, minus shells and plus softboxes.  My lovely model was one of my friends, Talique :) and my guy model was Nathan. He's on my course. Ch-ch-check it out!

Strike A Pose, Vogue ♪

For my Photoshop project, i've chosen to do two seperate ideas.  I have to hand in six final images, so my first three are going to be like magazine covers and the other three will be photo montages!  My first shoot went.. well, it wasn't THAT bad but it was kinda terrible.  I got my shots though!.. well, some of them hahah!  They might not be to the best of my ability but i am proud of them and i like them!  So, here's some of MY favourite shots! :)

My model was a friend of mine, Laura Eastwood.. isn't she gorgeous?! :D

Sunnnnnnnn!

So yeah.  This morning when i was waiting for my wife, who didn't even show up.. but i waited anyways.. kinda ;D ha! I was stood at my green and decided to pull a 'Vickiee' by taking some photos of the green.  Since it was like.. 9 o'clock, and the sun was out, blue sky and everything so i took the opportunity! They turned out quite well if i'm honest, taken on my chuckberry! But i did notice one thing looking back.  On both photos theres like.. a little gold ball/orb sort of thing, and its not something on the camera since its in two different places in each photo and its also too strong to be any sort of glare from the sunlight.. i find it VERY odd. LOOKKKKKKK! :)

 #1. Right side of the green.. depending on which way you stand, and in the back right the little golden bally thing!
 #2 This is nicer, bit further down on the left? hahaha, but theres that little light ball again.. it could be a glare i guess, but it doesn't look like it.. hmm :)
