Genius Of Photography, part deux!

Photography has been around for years, but only around the 20th Century did it become popular, and we started to hear about some of the first well known photographers of that time.  Watching this documentary brought me up to date with some photographers who had started to show the world their talents, as well as getting them involved and showing them that there was more to the world through a lense than just your eyes.  I learnt of photographers such as;
 *August Sander
 *Alexander Rodchenko
 *Eugène Atget
 *Walker Evans
 *Bill Brandt
 *László Moholy-Nagy
Just to name a few!  Some of the work i saw in the documentary, the first images they had and some of the different techniques, made me wonder about how it was all possible with the limited knowledge of everything.

This image is one of the first by August Sander.  It is dark and has emotion behind it, shown through the brick workers facial expressions.  The lighting is obviously natural, because of the resources back then, yet still has a silvery look to it.  It tells a story, which is what people look for in a photograph.  An image which has feeling, meaning and is truly a one of a kind considering how long it's been around.
